Expanding into gypsy jazz via listening to Django Recordings in European
Jazz Studies, he quickly sought the advise of guitarists Paul Mehling,
Neil Andersson, and Robin Nolan, by attending workshops or jamming whenever
possible. This opened doors by transcribing from modern gypsy greats Angelo
Debarre, Stochelo Rosenberg, and Bireli Legrene. Being a part of the
original Djangofest Event started in Washington (USA), Don created the popular
3000 plus members e-group and web site called  "gypsyjazzguitar"  to network with
players and fans interested in this high energy form of acoustic swing-jazz.
As leader and founder of J A Z Z G I T A N,  Don can be found seeking to refine
his craft, playing this spirited style of music called "le jazz hot."
