Ken Billeci received his formal music training through American River and
Sacramento State Colleges, the latter under Professor Richard Savino. Ken continued his jazz training under Henry Robinette, Dave Lynch, and Joel Peloquin in Sacramento. He has taught and played professionally in Sacramento for over 20 years, including a 10 year stint in the band "On Air." After years of urging and having lost the rhythm guitarist from the original version of Jazz Gitan - called the Don Price Trio - Ken finally committed to learning the Django style of jazz manouche. As a jazz guitarist and great sight reader, it wasn't long before he was providing the 'le pompe" necessary. Ken performs regularly in local jazz settings and is now with J A Z Z G I T A N where he shares in "le deux guitares." |
